A rare Charles II oak child's chair or "littel chayre" with a shaped crest rail, chevron carved back panel and channel moulded legs, stretchers and uprights. The legs chamfered. Superb colour and patination. See Tobias Jellinek "British Chairs and Seats" plate 172 for a very similar example. Circa 1660. 18 inches wide x 16 inches deep x 34 inches high. The seat height is 12.5 inches.
