This lovely little James I oak chest has a double panelled top held by strap hinges and a similar front with excellent quality nulled carving to the top rail. The sides are single panelled and the back is double double panelled. It retains its lidded till and stands on good high legs. The colour and patination are superb. In excellent untouched condition apart from the metalwork.Circa 1620. 35 inches wide 20 inches deep x 24 inches high.
