From the same private collection as the form, this useful little box stool has a boarded top held by its original hinges, a panelled frame and reel turned legs and stretchers and retains its original toes. The bottom boards are old replacements. A very similar example is illustrated in Chinnery page 228 fig 3:111. Excellent rich dark colour. It measures 22 inches x 17 inches across the top and stands 19 inches high.
