A large early 18th century English delft drug jar decorated with a pair of winged cherubs on either side of a scallop shell above a cartouche with the inscription U:ALBUM. Unguentum album was an ointment made from white lead and other ingredients for the treatment of burns. Probably London circa 1700. 7 1/2 inches high.
