A very small and rare  Queen Anne oak rack.

This interesting little rack is a transitional piece between the boarded glass cases of the 17th century and the delft racks of the 18th century. It never had a cornice and has two full shelves and a small shelf with a central niche decorated with an attractive ogee arch. Lovely rich dark colour and patination. It measures just 29 inches wide 31 inches high and is 4 inches deep. Circa 1700. Provenance : from the private collection of a retired dealer.
