A very nice example of a Thames Valley comb-back Windsor armchair of good height and with excellent colour. The chair is made in yew wood with a crinoline stretcher and it has a dished seat in elm with wonderful figuring to the timber. Under the seat there are some small tacks suggesting that at some point it had a label. It stands 40 1/2 inches high x 22 1/2 inches wide across the arms and the seat height is 19 inches.
