A mid 17th century oak coffer, the three panelled front decorated with fine marquetry inlay with pairs of birds in a foliate background. The top rail and muntins well carved and with excellent rich colour and patination throughout. Possibly Halifax area of Yorkshire. 53 inches wide x 21 inches deep x 29 inches high.
