A mid 17th century oak wainscot armchair with a superb carved back and wrap-around seat. The style of carving is attributed by Chinnery to the Salisbury area and he shows a chair with a very similar flower motif carved in the back panel in fig 4:67. 47 inches high (20 inches high to the seat).
