A very rare and unrecorded mid 18th century Bristol delft charger depicting a boy with a shepherd's crook in a stylised landscape. The dish is decorated in yellow, blue, green and iron-red and is 13 1/2 inches diameter. It is related to three similar dished that have appeared on the market in recent years, the last being in 2010 as part of the Longridge Collection - it sold for £11,250. This example is in superb unrestored and undamaged condtion.
