A large picture with 17th century stumpwork laid on velvet. It depicts a scene from Genesis in which Hagar and her son Ishmael are banished by Abraham at the request of his wife Sarah. In addition to the figures there is a wonderful array of animals, insects, flowers and foliage together with a large castle and two Coats of Arms representing the families of Boyd and Trochrigg. 24 inches wide 29 inches high.
