Of typical boarded form, this little box is probably from Somerset and has a particularly well carved front. Internally it has a small till with a sliding board secreting (but not very well!) a hidden compartment. Excellent honey colour. Circa 1680. 22 inches wide x 12 1/2 inches deep x 10 inches high.
