A small Charles I cupboard with a cleated end top above a long drawer carved with griffins and below are a pair of two panelled doors. The upper panels of these are carved with a pair of birds feeding off grapes or berries and the lower panels have arcaded carving incorporating pairs of griffins. The carving is of excellent quality and that with the birds is very similar to that on pew panels in Rug Chapel, Corwen in Merioneth and illustrated fig 426 Vol. 1 Richard Bebb's "Welsh Furniture" where it is dated as circa 1637. Internally there are two further drawers. Excellent untouched colour and patination. Circa 1640. 39 1/2 inches wide x 20 inches deep x 44 inches high.
