Capable of seating eight people, this Charles II gateleg table is rare in that it is constructed entirely of English walnut. The inch thick top has rule joint edges and has wonderful adze marks on its underside. The legs and stretchers have robust fine quality barley twist turnings and the table is extremely stable. Superb honey colour and patination. Under the top it has two old labels reading "Colonel A.M. Houston Ganavan House Oban".60 inches x 69 inches across the top with the leaves up and 22 inches with the leaves down x 29 inches high.
