Dating from about 1640, this fine chest has a moulded edge boarded top above three panels which are inlaid with top quality marquetry depicting foliage and flowers including tulips and carnations. The panels are surrounded by fine eagle head carving. the back is panelled and the sides are double panelled. Altogether this is a top quality chest dating from about 1640. 44 1/2 inches wide x 19 1/2 inches deep x 26 inches high.
