This impressive 17th century oak gateleg table can seat eight armchairs or ten singles. It has a good thick top with original rule joints, the legs with fine ball and fillet turnings and the stretchers have moulded edges with excellent wear. Lovely rich colour and patination. It dates to about 1680 and measures 71 inches x 60 inches with the leaves extended x 29 inches high. Across the central bed it measures 21 1/2 inches.
