Probably French and dating to the second half of the 16th century, this walnut stool is in lovely untouched condition. The moulded edge top has a compass drawn hexfoil design (often done for spiritual protection) four gun barrel turned legs, H form stretchers and retaining its original toes. Nice rich honey colour. 16 1/2 inches x 10 1/2 inches across the top x 25 1/2 inches high.
