Recently acquired from a long standing private collection in Essex, this early 18th century tavern table has a wonderfully patinated pine top which is original to the trestle base which has X form end supports, a long central stretcher and iron supports. For ease of transport the top can be removed. On the underside is written in old script "Old Cornish refectory table taken from The Greyhound Hotel, Folkingham." 8 feet 10 inches long x 30.5 inches wide x 30.5 inches high.
