A wonderful little 17th century stumpwork picture, probably depicting Charles I and Henrietta Maria with two of their children. It is extensively worked with various creatures including a lion and a unicorn, a bird in a tree and a snail and set in floral landscape. The picture is slightly faded but in excellent untouched condition. It measures 15 inches x 11 inches across the later ebonized frame.
