An elegant George II walnut kneehole desk.

A George II walnut kneehole desk of narrow proportions with a quarter veneered top, a brushing slide, one long drawer and a further three drawers on either side of a kneehole with a small drawer and a recessed removeable niche cupboard. The top and drawers are have cross banding and herring bone inlay. The desk stands on well shaped bracket feet and all the brass handles appear to be original. Lovely honey colour. Circa 1730. For a similar example see Christies sale of The Parry Collection in 2010 lot 22 which fetched £58,850! 31 1/4 inches wide x 19 1/2 inches deep x 32 inches high.
