In excellent untouched condition, this chest of drawers is probably Welsh and it bears a label inside that states that it was sold on 14th March 1946 for 55 guineas as part of a sale of the contents of Llanvihangel Court, a fine early house near Abergervenny. It certainly feels Welsh - each drawer is incredibly heavy and is veneered in burr oak. The sides and back are panelled and it has lovely natural colour and patination. A real collector's chest. 40 inches wide x 22 inches deep x 37 inches high.
