A charming little two panelled chest of simple form which was most probably made for a child. The two panelled top is held by its original hinges, the iron escutcheon is an old replacement. Apart from this and the loss of its till, it is in excellent condition with good untouched medium colour. See Chinnery figs. 3:505 and 3:506 for similar examples. 25 1/2 inches wide 0n the lid x 15 1/2 inches deep x 19 1/2 inches high.
