Exceptionally small and rare, this James I three tier buffet is of size to fit in any house. The shelves are all scratch carved to the edges and with applied friezes which are carved and fretted. The front uprights are fluted and the rails are carved with a design usually associated with Gloucestershire/Wiltshire. The only other example that I have seen illustrated is a piece of similar design and size but it has lost it's bottom tier. Excellent rich colour.34 1/2 inches wide x 12 1/2 inches deep x 46 inches high.
