A lovely little boarded box or coffret of unusual design. The top and front boards have chip carved ends and the top is secured by oak and metal swivel hinges. A box of identical construction and with very similar carving is illustrated in Chinnery page 320 fig 3:391. Wonderful rich colour. 26 1/2 inches wide x 15 inches deep x 18 inches high.
