This stunning chest has three drawers, each with double mitred mouldings. The top drawer is decorated with carved fruitwood ovals, ivory or bone paterae and split balusters. The top rail is decorated with pierced convex mouldings and the chest is decorated throughout with split balusters and roundels. The top constructed from two thin well figured boards and the sides and back panelled. The turned feet are old replacements. Superb rich colour throughout. Circa 1675. 38 inches wide x 22 inches deep x 35 inches high.
