A mid 17th century oak two part chest of narrow proportions with three graduating drawers and panelled sides. The simple decoration suggests that it is from the Commonwealth Period and the drawers retain some of the original block printed lining paper (see Chinnery page 367 for a discussion on this). Good untouched colour. 38 1/2inches wide x 20 inches deep x 36 inches high.
