Acquired from a long standing collection of oak in Suffolk, this outstanding early 18th century oak settle was bought decades ago from a well known early furniture dealer in the Cotswolds. The back has a crest bearing the initials MWM above four fielded panels with a further five panels below. It has downswept arms and two lift out boards to the seat giving excellent storage. Wonderful colour and patination. Circa 1710. 82 inches wide x 19 inches deep x 47 inches high.
