Dating from the middle of the 18th century, this wonderful piece of country furniture has a bookcase with a pair of arched glazed doors with four shelves and a moulded cornice. The bureau has a fall in superbly figured solid burr elm, three long drawers and bracket feet. The interior has two banks of six burr elm drawers on either side of a burr elm niche cupboard and a well with arched pigeon holes. Superb colour throughout. Probably West Country circa 1750. 36 inches wide x 20 1/2 inches deep x 81 inches high.
