This fine chair is of a type that one might normally expect to find in walnut. The crest rail and front stretcher have excellent quality "Boyes and Crownes" carving and the back has spiral twist turnings and to broad carved slats. The swept arms are carved and it has its original fielded panel seat. Until recently it was on loan to the National Trust of Scotland.
