Very unusually this George III elm lidded floor box retains its original ceramic pot. The pot and frame could be removed and the box could be used as such pieces usually are to stand a cup of tea or glass of wine one beside a chair. On the other hand it is a rare survivor and has lovely figuring to the timber. 16 inches square across the top x 18 1/2 inches high.
