Probably dating from the middle of the 17th century, this rare oak chest has a wonderfully patinated two plank top and two moulded front drawers. The front, panelled back and panelled sides all have integral spandrels to the bottom rails which suggests that it was intended to be able to stand in the middle of the room. Superb colour throughout. 33 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 27 inches high.
